The bastard son of Johnny Cash and Van Morrison, Eamonn plays an unashamed and authentic Country music style with a tough edge and gruff, whiskey soaked vocal that can lean rather lustily more towards The Pogues or Tom Waite than Willie Nelson . Taking the classic Nashville sound and giving it some post-punk sensibility scores points throughout, so don't be put off by the 'country' tag, you won't find any rhinestones or yeehaws here, nor any odes to dying dogs or truck driving its far too savvy and relevant for that, combining the true essence of American Country music (tales of real loss and hardship and some rollocking good tunes) and makes a heady cocktail.
Tracks such as 'I don't know you any more' (with its Neil Young feel), 'Nobody home' and 'don't let me fall' are all Texan barroom style classics. If the prospect of investigating country music fills you with dread, let Eamonn help you think again.
This guy has it together, great lyrics, great composure i have checked out some of his tunes on myspace and i think you should do the same.
The superfallen{off new e.p} this is edwards anthem tune, its got the massive attack theme and a mixture of moby with a taste of old school grunge,
Money: a lot could be said for this one, there is a u2 and david gray mixture, excellent vocal but the drumline gives away his influence overall good tune.
The road: this song kicks in smooth and brings back some memories, a lot like the counting crows but very poetic lyrics
A NEW GENERATION OF ROCK HAS BEEN BORN FROM CO.LOUTH, IRELAND WITH GREAT VOCAL AND MINDBLOWING RIFFS - EYE SLAVE
UNTILL TOMMORROW- Great vocal very powerfull, sounds excellent over the melody, a very laid back tune but with plenty of bite, guitar sounds great with the piano - great stuff.
DAYDREAM- Nice intro with the drums and gutair, the vocal creeps in with a cool effect on them, edgy melodic chorus and very well composed, a cool driving song.
